The Hatfield-McCoy Trail System is named after the historic West Virginia region where the infamous Hatfield-McCoy Feud took place, and where most of these renowned trails are now located. The trails wind through or near significant historical sites tied to the feud, the Mine Wars, Matewan, Blair Mountain, and West Virginia’s coal industry. The system includes popular trails such as Buffalo Mountain, Devil Anse, Rockhouse, Bear Wallow, Pinnacle Creek, Warrior, Indian Ridge, and Cabwaylingo. For some of the world’s best ATV, UTV, and dirt bike riding, visit Hatfield's Hideout in McCarr, Kentucky. Located right across the river from the Devil Anse trailhead, our campground offers easy access to this key connector trail linking Rockhouse and Buffalo Mountain.
