(Short & Long Term RV Spaces Available)
Hatfield's Hideout RV Rentals offer a comfortable and fully equipped stay with access to all the campground amenities. Each rental features 50-amp electricity, a mini fridge, and an oven. Enjoy the convenience of a public shower and bathroom, along with a shaded, waterfront site that includes a charcoal grill, fire ring, picnic table, and dense gravel pad. With sewer and water hookups, as well as Wi-Fi, you'll have everything you need for a relaxing and hassle-free experience at the campground.
Hatfield McCoy Trails
The Hatfield-McCoy Trail System, named after the infamous Hatfield-McCoy Feud, offers some of the best ATV, UTV, and dirt bike trail riding in the world. Winding through historical sites tied to the feud, the West Virginia coal industry, and events like the Mine Wars and the Battle of Blair Mountain, these trails provide a unique blend of adventure and history. Hatfield's Hideout, located in McCarr, Kentucky, is right across the river from the Devil Anse Trailhead, which connects to the renowned Rockhouse and Buffalo Mountain trails. Whether you're riding through rugged terrain or exploring historical landmarks, the Hatfield-McCoy Trails offer an unforgettable experience.
Hatfield McCoy Outlaw Trails
If you're planning a trip to the mountains of Southeast Kentucky or Southwest West Virginia, you may have heard of the infamous Outlaw Trails. These trails, while similar in definition, are treated differently depending on whether you're riding in Kentucky or West Virginia. In Kentucky, the term "Outlaw Trails" is widely accepted, although this might change with the upcoming Hillbilly Trail system. West Virginia, however, tends to frown upon the use of the term. For the best experience, it's recommended to hire a reputable trail guide who can tailor your adventure, whether you're seeking a historic ride or looking for challenging technical trails. Expert guides like Herbie Dotson, Leo New, Dennis Gibbs, and Benji Hurley can show you the best spots and even provide breakdown services if needed.

I had a great experience at Hatfield’s Hideout! It was a pleasure to meet and talk with Hank Hatfield. I stayed in the covered wagon for a few days and Hank made sure everything went smoothly. The location couldn’t be better! I managed to snag a few smallmouth out of the river and hit the trails everyday. Just me and my pooch. Matewan is a great little town with everything you need for your stay. The locals are very friendly. We will be back!

just got back from a 3 day stay at the Hatfield hideout!! the host was very very helpful and friendly I showed up very early (6hrs early) and they didn't charge me extra for showing up before check in time. the host answered any questions I threw at him and sold us a weekends worth of fire wood for cheap.. will definitely be going back really soon!! the camp ground was very clean!!
